Family Law special counsel Jeremy Sear was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2002.

He has strong advocacy skills developed over seven years at the Victorian Bar, and has appeared in all Victorian and most NSW and federal courts. He was a member of the Victorian Bar from 2005 to 2012.

Jeremy specialises in family law and has done so exclusively since 2013.

He has extensive experience in all sorts of family law matters, from complex parenting disputes, child protection and child support matters, through to property settlements of all levels and complexities. He is committed to helping clients come through what is often one of the most difficult situations they’ve faced feeling supported and empowered. He provides careful and sensitive advice to assist clients to reach resolutions of their matters (a) as efficiently, cost-effectively and in as timely manner as possible, and also (b) with a positive outcome they will feel as good as possible about when the dust settles.

Jeremy sits on several committees of the Law Institute of Victoria’s family law section.
